About
We are Sheffield Medics Hockey club (up the snakes!). We train every Friday with drills, games and coaching for beginners, intermediate and advanced players. This is followed by a trip to the pub for some drinks and a bite to eat – there is something for everyone!
We have a couple of teams in the NAMS league and play weekly in the University of Sheffield’s intramural league. There is hockey training and matches to suit everyone’s standards.
We have been the National Association of Medical Schools cup winner for the past 6/7 years and plate champions, and this year’s winners of the Medsoc sports team award. We are everything you could possibly want from a sports club!
We have regular socials such as Pub golf, Christmas meal, End of season meal and of course a Darts social. We also go on an international tour every year – past locations include Munich, Prague, Budapest and Barcelona.
Whether you’re a hockey god or someone who doesn’t own a stick, we will welcome you with open arms!
